Last weekend at September 2011
September 24th, 2011 Today there was an astronomical autumn afternoon I went up the hill, even though the prospects for tropo conditions are not yet optimal center of Europe. Upon arrival, I looked at the lighthouses in the 3 cm band. LX1DB (JN39co) passes very weakly with deep losses, then look at HB9G (JN36bk) which is 709 km! which normally do not hear, and to my surprise, 529 over two hours. I noticed one interesting fact, in connection with Heino DJ6JJ (JO32pc) I heard the tropo signal 599, while four-fold reflection from the aircraft. So at one point I had from him 5 times the signal! Pretty good curiosity.
On Saturday morning, after four o'clock UTC is heard again at maximum LX1DB beacon to the 599th In the morning the whole hill was covered Šedivák. Before five o'clock it begins to disappear, but still faintly through LX1DB. They hear the normal lights, but no more than 500 km. I hope that after all some tropo conditions occur. Among other DXCluster watch and see that Manfred DL7YC is QRV via EME on 24GHz makes several QSO Manfred ... my congrats.
Saturday evening, Sunday morning, beacon LX1DB playing for your life but activity on the band almost none. I just hope that conditions will last the race. Unfortunately, during the day, conditions are here in the west do not hear anything. On Monday morning I was back home and I hope that at the end of the week, still have some good conditions.
