160 m CQWW Contest 2010 Sunday, February 1st, 2010 160 m CQWW Contest 2010 - OL4A the Forest.
Team: Tony OK1DTC, Jarda OK1DSX, Joe OK1ES, Martin and Charles OK1HGM OK1JKT.
Because it was needed before the race even repaired dipole for 160 meters band antenna and listening to stretch so we went to Lesna on Thursday. The weather was not conducive but even if we wanted to do that day as much as we expected on Friday pulled beverage antennas. Some time ago, the rest two-meter dipole antennas damaged, it was necessary to cut a little antenna. Jarda OK1DSX had to get off up to two antennas torso cut off and secured.
On Friday morning we continue building beverage that took a lot of time, stretching across the cable and the antenna was implemented in areas where there is plenty of snow and very difficult terrain. Just Ladovská winter. Since the problem also had to supply DIPOL OK1HGM Martin again on the mast where the failure occurred due to the fall meter antenna. Then after adjusting the length of arms DIPOL it's all right. OK1DTC Tonda opened a facility and we are ready. Although we started the race with a slight delay and up to some detail how everything works.
On Saturday we continue, during the interval we load the second beverage to the east. The weather throughout the day sometimes the wind blows and the snow falls, but still well below zero. The night begins to clarify and freezes. The morgue is warm, so all wet clothes and shoes rather quickly dried and contentment reigns.
Sunday was painted in a beautiful sunny day. There have been incredible number of people who cross-country enjoyed beautiful weather that went wrong later in the afternoon. The race goes on, the connection was slow gain.
And so we end with more than 1130 QSOs (27 state, 69 country) and over 589,000 points.
On Monday morning liquidated workplace, cables and equipment, and then finally warming up homes.
