CQWW DX CW Contest 2010

Monday, November 29th, 2010

beverage's west It's time for the next Club race that we left the competition from brand OK5W OK1KSO Radio Club in the Ore Mountains. Last weekend took place on shortwave next CQWW CW Contest. On Thursday, several of us gathered in the mountains begin to prepare for the race. Getting started with the installation of antennas for 80 meters band, is arriving next Friday. Raising the antenna and install some equipment. The biggest problem emerged at the beginning of the race on 160m band so we can start doing multipliers until late in the morning. The actual race was calm and it seemed that the conditions are against the spread of recently improved and slowly gain points and multipliers. It lies in the mountains and snow over the weekend připadává more. The race ends and slowly cut back on the facilities and we are meeting to assess the outcome. We can say that the rule satisfaction. At the end we have over 5100 QSOs, multipliers is nearly a thousand (country + area) and the overall result is close to 11 million points. When the final balance, we calculated the average age of all what is involved in the contest and came out to us that we have a young team with an average age of 57.5 HI.

Tropo he condx 3 cm band at October 2010

Tuesday, October 12th, 2010

I apologize in advance that I have not written anything recent, such as VHF contest, short tropo in September and UHF contest.

TV tower "Jedlak" Recently discovered the possibility of very good tropo conditions for VHF to SHF šíšení. Forecast William Hepburn's are good and I did not hesitate to devote the entire weekend and the possibility of some day about the weekend. On Thursday 7 I went out in October of Forestry in the evening to prepare all that is needed and on Friday he was ready. It was clear that the inversion begins to make a prediction come true. On Friday, bad weather blows strong winds until Saturday. Only on Sundays Everything is clear and light breeze was blowing and the beautiful blue sky.

And now to the conditions. On Friday morning, watching the lighthouses. Just for this day, I heard 16 lighthouses. They hear what they normally are raised and then come and others like DB0JK DB0GHZ which was the precursor of tropo enhancement. According to temperature inversions limit the output somewhere around 1000 mA so are the differences between QTH with different height. Activity not high, but there was a weekday so no wonder. After 16 UTC hour and then comes G3XDY G3LQR, then rest a bit and start conditions to the north. Many stations also works for other bands, so it has not increased much but I'm happy. After 19 UTC hour of work with stations SM7LCB JO86gh, SM6AFV JO67gq which for me is a new square.

look at Southwest On Saturday, it still goes to the north, among other connections do three new squares OZ7DX JO66da, SM6EAN JO57wq, SM7GEP JO77ip and this connection I would like to stop. After the agreement that we try to link a long time nothing heard only hint at the beginning of the signal, but patience on both sides to bear fruit. After long minutes of calls and listening to burst arrives (probably from the aircraft) and the QSO is in the world. Lighthouses still in an unprecedented effort, today I heard the 17 lighthouses. Staszek SP6GWB JO80jg makes the connection of over 1000 km to the SM, so try it right after, but to no avail.

On Sunday morning, about three hours of play as beacons of life in a truly unprecedented power. Lighthouses of the distance between 700 to 900 km in the power of 599 + 50 db! And it goes north, begin to emerge from Holland beacons in the unprecedented power of (some for the first time I hear), this day I listen to a total of 16 lighthouses. Around noon, the calm, but it is just an illusion. For a while nothing happens, so Claudio I4XCC tropo wants to try. He writes that I hear at times so try on and between the G0EWN IO93FK hear that he wanted to try as well. I do not hesitate and let's do it right the first time the CW 559 and about in no time SSB 59th Because I have connections with Gordon before doing so together libujem how it works. Then we test QSO with G4KUX IO94BP nothing but the first time. Then I see on the chat that is agreed with Jirka OK7RA. George somehow overlooked that should be 5 kHz above and cheerfully gives CQ. I've heard a number above 5 kHz dots and G4KUX Jirka hear .... so I played one of their brand and I have to sway OK1JKT that Nick is a really good operator! In a moment done and a new square and ODX 1128 km is here. moon down The second time, and managed another nice connection G4PBP IO82WO which in turn was the 92nd square. Unfortunately we could not make connections to IO91 square I tried it with three stations, but even with one failed.

On Monday morning before leaving, I even tested the connection with Gordon G0EWN, we succeeded. But the interesting thing I hear after the QSO SSB signal now, so I read his mark in the domain that it is for me to answer and nothing. Pochvíli When I found that makes the connection with the F stations and yet I read it. Then I wrote that the antenna was about 45 degrees to the south from my direction. Because I managed everything you need so I came up in the afternoon of Forestry even though the conditions are shifting to the west. In the evening I made only one connection with Andy SM7ECM and that was all and only a few unsuccessful attempts to England. On Tuesday morning, lighthouses played, only those who can hear normally, and so for me a successful expedition in search of new squares and autumn terms ended.
